"Sweetheart, You didn't take a coat? I thought you knew there was going to be a rainstorm. Oh dear, let's get you in some warm clothes. I don't want you to catch something."
Yup, that's my mom for ya'. I didn't think she would have even noticed me coming home, but I guess she had been waiting at the door for me.
"I'll just take a warm bath, don't worry I will be fine, thanks mom." I said with a smile. That sounded rather nice after a pleasant walk in the rain. My hair did need a good shampoo.
"Where've you been?" Tony asked from the kitchen table. "I even came over early to see you!" Tony is my older brother, he's about twenty, but we get along great.
"Tony!" I said with excitement. I was so happy to see him, it had been a month or two since he last visited. I ran up and hugged him as hard as I could.
"Why are you so wet? Did you forget to take off your clothes when you showered or something?" he said.
I just stuck out my tounge and lauged. Our family was one to joke around with eachother, but hardly anyone was ever home anymore. All of the boys had moved out, and I was the only one left at home. I will tell you though, growing up with 4 older brothers was an adventure.
Once Tony had "kidnapped" me and a bunch of my friends into his van. We drove around a parking lot doing doughnuts and all sorts of crazy things. When we drove by a field of boys, he rolled down the window and told them all there was a car full of girls just waiting for them. Next thing we knew there was some poor guy being shoved into our car to be tortured. He was probaby tramatized by the whole thing.
I started to get really cold, so I went down stairs to take a nice bubble bath. On the way I saw my dad in his office, so I stopped in to say hello and give him a kiss on the cheek. He had been really busy with his office work lately, so I didn't want to bug him to much.
I started the bath water and grabbed my ipod. I plugged it into the sound system we had set up in the bathroom. Tony had left it behind for me when he had moved out. I lit a few candles and poured some bubble bath soap into the running water. Elvis seemed to be the music I was into these days, so I turned up the volume and just relaxed. This day turned out to be better than I would have thought.
