Tainted Painting (for the journalists)
The artist,
or professed artist,
makes copious notes,
asks pertinent
or impertinent
questions.
With a trained eye
the scene is gathered
and pinched between
a metaphorical finger
and thumb
to be splayed later
onto paper.
The scene will
never be the same
again, the loose truth
dismissed by angles and
points of view,
the accuracy is irrelevant.
All that matters now
is how convincing
is the painting
to the painter
not the painted.
Is the painting tainted
or the painter?
