Works

I'm not the finished article
I'm not the final draught
I'm still a work in progress
Still mastering my craft
So judge me all you want to
Condemn me if you must
I'll still give you the benefit
As you've not yet learned to trust
So when you view me with suspicion
Just remember this
Today you might want to kill
But soon you'll want to kiss
As you're a work in progress too
So try to make ammends
And when you know you've worked that out
Then maybe we'll be friends
He has not yet come of age
She is still on the first page
They don't yet know their own minds
The golden thread they're still to find
They're all works in progress too
Just like me, just like you
So forget your first impressions
As we're all still learning lessons
The story isn't over yet
The journey not complete
We're still aquiring wisdom
Still finding our own feet
