Plight of a Scorpio

Shape of distorted world
Mirrors that of my heart
As seas burn under scorching sun
Flowers wilt in early months
Moon chases little children
To ghostly nightmare kingdom
While war snatches lives of young
51 days passed, Maddie is lost
Shame
Lest we forget this child of God
I cling wildly
Holding millions of shattered pieces
Of me
OF ME
Feeling naked
Stripped of my woman
Who hid inside of me
Quiet happy pretending
She had no great needs
Solitude was satisfactory.
Thank you
Stirring a soul,
At least now she knows
What she is not looking for.
Plight of a scorpio
No pride in

That had no sting at all,
For upon poisonous tip
Lay a beaten girl trying to find
A world where she could be free
Of suffering, free of potent pain
And mostly simply free of herself
Chained behind doors of past
Buried inside a battered heart
Simply reaching out to be loved.
Just wanting to belong
Inside a soul of one.
Was that so much to ask?
