Wrong road

i want to write
write the words of
feelings i feel and thoughts i think
but instead
i only scribble down
someone else's truth
i want to sing
the words i write
to translate the emotion and depth
but instead
i only stutter thru words
that block my soul
i want to play the notes
that carry my words
but instead
i only hesitate
from the music that was to be
