The Krygnym of Alexandrite

In Alexandrite, the Krygnym that lived there have lived on a factional society before Azur became the Leader, this is because the former chief of Alexandrite ran away with a human, not out of fear of the village rallying against him or of exclusion, he just banished one day. Since then, the few humans that traveled to the Village were supervised most of the time they were around.
(Is reccomended to read the First part of this custom race The Krygnym as well as the very first chapter of Leech of the World, Chapter 1: Lion)
As time passed, factions became a thing,
The Fishers back then commanded by a younger Tumul, they remained neutral to the former Chief “treachery” by continuing to provide food for the village but they did not give things for free to the Hunters since they were rather aggressive on the negotiations. Underwater Foragers were a part of this faction.
The Hunters, Leaded by Rekzot’s father and Rekzot himself being a close second in command, while not completely savages, the hunters were pushing a far more tribal method of living that valued fighting prowess over everything, but the former chief being Rekzot’s uncle at that time, is known that Rek’s father took it a little too personal, and like so, he took it upon himself to lead the villagers. Some travelers and explorers were a “Subfaction” of the Hunters.
The Council, led by Suxuq's former master and the other elders of the village they centered in magic and its teachings, the group that lost the most on the power struggle against the Hunters, by the time they decided to aid Azur half of them were already gone due old age and their offspring either followed other side or were already dead leaving fewer and fewer magic casters on the village , the rest of the elderly passed away around Azur’s “Election” period, leaving Suxuq to take care of the new and Next generation that Azur brought with her. Other races and young mages that sadly didn’t make it to Azur’s leadership were allies of the council.
These three were the most relevant out of the factions of the quite short, but dangerous,
Alexandrite Shattered Era that started around Forty-Five years ago and lasted until a couple years ago due Azur’s efforts.
Some of the big changes that happened during Azur’s “campaign” were: the finding of the Trident of Alexandrite, a Legendary weapon that was in fact wielded by the former chief, The Assassination of Rekzot’s father who went insane after losing against Azur, The Birth of the Three Shadows that accompany Azur 90% of the time, and the surging of a Friendly Relationship with the Humans of a distant town.
While humans see Alexandrite more as a Small city than a village, the Krygnym don’t really care about these terms, to the most traditional Krygnym all of these mean the same: Together in a very large group. That said, they were called a village by the former chief and so they just kept that term for themselves. These Human (and Cloudian) terms and customs are only really learnt by those that travel, become part of another race society and the High ups of any Krygnym settlement.
The Krygnym hold in big regard the succession of themselves, maybe not someone that can do exactly the same as themselves, but someone that is there for when they are not, that said, polygamy and relations with other species are not prohibited, but are not well received by other Krygnym, meaning that those who do end up on a relationship with another species are usually banished from its hometown, not out of fear or purism but as a test for the exiled one, if they truly have made their mind up, then they’ll have no reason to go back any time soon. Couples of two Males or Females are also rare, but not at all rejected, since some females can grow up their bodies to resemble the male ones on muscles and size (and vice-versa), they have a pretty hard time finding mates, so they resort to getting a companion of the same gender, after that, it is possible that both parts of these couples agree that one of them is to mate with another member of the settlement in order to have a successor, this mate is often really similar to one of the parners.
The Shadows, rare but powerful Krygnym, these are Krygnyms that are born with a certain type of magical light during the second half of the embryo development this light was a type of magic derived from Dulener the Goddess of the Dead, that make the Krygnyms have an ethereal body that emitted no light making them a matte pitch black, this was considered a crime against life since it made the newborn a completely obedient slave, but a millennium ago a mage found a way to make the Shadow gain only the ethereal form without losing any of it “living” features, with that out of the way it’s still a very dangerous process that could kill the caster and/or the “vessel”.
Krygnym, Humans, Cloudians and Earthlings do not speak the same language, making a natural cultural barrier that is difficult to break with “commoners” of a race.
While the Krygnym have a Neutral relationship with Humans and Cloudians, they have a natural hate for Earthlings, its unknow when the hostility reached practically genetic levels, but some of what is known is that earthlings have a coliseum in which Krygnym face Earthlings or others of Krygnym which definitely does not help with the hostility of the Krygnym, some of this Krygnyms have never seen or talked with another one of their race and often Shadows or a rescue team is formed to release these Krygnym.
Afterword: Hello, First of all, thanks for taking the time to read this part of “Leech of the World” that is more an expansion of the main protagonists’ Homeland and Race. Second, I am a beginner and English is NOT my native language, thus I will appreciate any feedback specially regarding this non-human protagonists and their relationships with eachother.
And that regardless of if “Leech of the World” gets too much recognition or not I will finish it, naturally, not in a hurry.
