Party Haiku

In a single room
In Kensington Gardens Square
A story comes true
It is the story
Of a womans own free will
Both joyful and blue
Seem like a party
For friends and strangers alike
They are much welcome
Behind the thin walls
The potential guests gather
For invitation
The first visitors
Are the Arabic man and
His oh so old wife
Next the son and his
Many demons come and sit
At storytellers table
She can marry son
Have the old mother in law
A new father too
She referes to will
And say thank you all but no
Please rise now and go
A Turkish girl comes
Her story is homesickness
It is written down
Guests from Canada
Charmed by the architecture
Of the old Europe
They have both worked hard
To come this far to England
They are not kidding
Next is the gambler
She is only twentyfour
Loves sex and money
Going abroad soon
Relax in the sun in Spain
Not sure she return
Most memorable
The young cocain man next door
Shouting he wants more
When the party ends
The guests' voices are lowered
And it is silence
