Silence in the room.
White, irreversible silence
Curled round my neck.
Silence, whiteness
My voices in the radio
Surrender while it sings.

Unholy silence.
Silence, I do not want to break.
I want to see this silence
Spread across the seas
I want to hear this silence
Swum in, lifted out of.
Silence vaporises tears.
There is sleep in it.

Silence eats into hearts.
It hurts.
Outside my door, footfalls.
Stir not.
I want my silence.
My bag of frozen hope.
My bed of hypnotised time.
My dose, my dope.
