HAZEL

Hazel
We stumble on bricks where houses once stood.
My mind was a valley my thoughts were on childhood.
I'm full of those fears I don't understand,
but she is beside me holding my hand.
We enter a place that's pleasant and green.
With her by my side It feels like a dream.
We came to a fountain where wishes are made.
The coin spun in the sun light then sank to the shade.
We return to the streets we've known for so long,
where smiles cost nothing when given to someone.
We return to our room, and I light a fire
We sit and watch shadows as the flames dance higher.
And who but this lady could create situations,
where magic is honest like Aesoph and fable.
I'm stunned by the beauty and company of Hazel.
