“I was king!” he bellowed, spitting at the girl’s feet. She smiled at him, her eyes sad and full of mischief.
“And I was a god.” He grabbed her wrists, tightly.
“It’s not wise to lie to a king.” he sneered.
“You are a king no longer.”
“And you are no longer a goddess, you mean nothing anymore. You are nothing but a filthy peasant!” He let go of her wrists and let her drop to the floor.
“You are a foolish man. I may no longer live in the clouds or forever, yet I still have every right to use the powers of a goddess and hurting me is something I would not advise for your well being.” Her black hair swayed in the early autumn wind.
“Winter is coming, you will freeze to death. I won’t have to bother with you any longer.” The banished king turned to face the trees that already had started to yellow.

I liked this short piece of prose. Is very interesting and well written. Is good as a stand alone piece which makes me think either side of the prose. I feel you could expand this if you wanted to and make this piece a prompt like I said to expand it in some direction. But is good writing.

Very clever use of the prompt
Very clever use of the prompt, and some impassioned dialogue in this. I agree with Thornwood about possibly expanding this piece. Welcome to ABCTales Daria - I hope you write more soon!
