To pen a poem is to sing a song.
words take flight and soar
carrying aloft, enchanting thoughts
to soothe the weary soul.

Transporting others -
from their troubles
shifting gloom,
dark clouds away

To echo in their mind
Nature's beauty,
simple pleasures
there to find

A bird in flight
trees whispering
fireflies dancing in the dark
the beating of one's own heart.

Dez, I really like this one. It's smooth and flows beautifully. And to bring it round to a grand theme at the end was a great poetic concept. Well done.

Thank you very much for those comments. I wanted it to have a sense of musicality. FYI (Ron Wallace, had a heart attack but is recovering after surgery and stints)
