A Lost Dream

A LOST DREAM

To have a dream you see come true,
And then to have it torn from you.
To heal the heart and stop the pain,
You try and catch that dream again.

But dreams as seen in mirrored lake,
Will stir the waters when you wake.
And once the waters settle down,
The dream you had will not be found.

One shattered look is all you see,
Within the lakes tranquillity.
As memories of your dream before,
Now break upon a distant shore.
