It began ordinarily with an old couple communicating by coughs. The master then spread his newspaper across the table and critiqued the world, while his palid partner stared into space. After a while the master vacated the cafe with a jaunty stroll, leaving his forlorn companion to pay the bill. They crossed the road twenty metres, and probably thirty years, apart.

Before I left, a group of rumbustious pensioners came in and they began to discuss the 1970's. They'd apparently been bikers back in the day, and were reminiscing grandly about the oddities of various gang members. A lady's husband (now deceased) was notoriously vain and got his wife to perm and highlight his hair.
He later went bald.
Hey ho.
