Heading east of the city,
Eva Duarte takes a taxi
driven by a cousin.
A huge silver moon
is reflected in the Silver River
and the portents are good
for an actress's show
tonight.
Eva's famous, but not enough:
someone who's been the Virgin
Queen and Russia's doomed
Nikolaya Feodorovna
on Radio Belgrano
shoots for that silver moon,
always.
Eva gets out at Luna Park.
There are crowds, of course,
but Eva knows how
to get to people
who matter. She's part of
the show, fund-raising:
noble.
Eva's plan works, and like a dream:
she leaves - arms linked - with the Jefe.
Juan and consort bound
for his bedchamber
at two in the morning,
but heading for history,
later.
