a wool day

Today because it was raining I felt the need to be needy. I needed
to look after myself even more than ever, so I decided to dress
completely in wool.
I don't have many knitted knickers and brassieres so to
cheer myself up I chose a vintage crochetted yellow bikini. In fact it
is more practical to wear this item as underwear - after swimming it
takes such a long time to dry out. The halter bra section of the bikini
doesn't give much support - just a couple of triangles so I wore a
large shapeless olive-red cable-knit sweater over the top. Whatever bra
you wore under that, even if it were a stainless steel one your tits
would look saggy.
The sweater is of sentimental value as I had to fight 3 women for it at
a jumble sale. It came with a couple of aloe vera impregnated kleenex
up the sleeves - well worth fighting for.
The knitted patchwork trousers I chose tend to be a little itchy so I
wore another pair of knitted briefs over the bikini and under the
trousers, which also makes my silhouette a little smoother as the
bikini pants dig in.
I wore my angling socks around the house but when it came
to elevenses time I changed into something a little more stylish.
Crochetted slouch socks.
I cheated on the footwear and wore a pair of those surfing sandals
which cut in between your toes. The thong didnt hurt as much as usual
because of the thick crochetted sock fabric.
Now I was ready to go out. I left the telly on and slipped
into a large belted aran cardigan (actually it's more of a jacket) in a
sturdy caramel colour with millions of roomy pockets, and closed the
front door behind me.
It had started to rain quite heavily and as I walked down the street to
my favourite mochaccino-machine internet-cafe a warm earthy aroma of
lanolin mixed with Gucci 'Envy' drifted up from my body.
