Carefree Life

Walking down the street, merrily going on my way
When along comes Alan, alright Alan, how are you today
I’m alright Dave except I just put Linda in her grave
Oh, sorry to hear that Alan, did she die at that rave
No, she was hit by a bus, crossing the road to buy smokes
Yep, smoking kills and that is no hoax
I’ll go and buy some cider, we can sit on the bench
Alright Dave, lets also find Debra, I could do with a wench
And so they sat there, on the bright sunny day,
Alan, Dave and Debra as was always their way
Passers by looked at the three street drinkers, sneered, and then turned away
But Alan, Dave and Debra didn’t mind, they didn’t care what they say,
They were the street drinkers drinking cider, happy for the rest of the day.
