I sit amidst the fresh air, breathing in the mild, sunny weather.
Endorphins surge through me
From exercise and this break from dark clouds.
Sounds from the busy halls
Remind me of the fair in July,
With happly little kids,
The smelly food stands, the noisy rides.
I smell summer, and
I want it so badly, to have it envelope me with its freedom, its warmth, its lack of rigidity.
Four months until that freedom is mine, until I'm done with totalitarianistic structure and values,
Four months until I have that beautiful sunshine,
And I'll finally be free.
