Too slow for Neal

Real time...
... as it happened. But my typing is too slow (and inaccurate).
As any decent writer will tell you - it dont work. Kerouac pretended that it did - but he lied and died a drunk's death. This does not mean that if you lie about your ability to type quickly you will die a drunk's death. (Cos as far as I know Kerouac could type quickly - and by all accounts he had a formidable memory - just that he DID edit)
...This little tale(?) has already been edited...
Cracking knuckles time.
I loved Kerouac when I was seventeen - read everything I could lay my hands on. From Town and Country to Visions of Cody. When I was forty I sold my collection of his books to a snob.
Had to buy cheap paperback copies of On The Road and Dharma Bums when I was fifty. I have NEVER read On The Road all the way through. I do still love Dharma Bums tho. And when I have finished (badly) typing and editing this piece I am going to go on eBay and see if I can get a cheapo copy of Desolation Angels.
