Dear Vixen

Vixen,
I have the most incredible news. He’s decided to fight for us. He promised he’ll never see her again and that he wants to rebuild everything we’ve lost. I want to believe him, I must. But there’s this lingering fear. What if it’s all just a lie? I’m terrified of losing him again, of him slipping back into her world. I know I need to trust him, but how can I when there’s still that shadow of doubt?
I need him to cut ties with her completely. No more excuses, no more “incidental” meetings. She can’t have a place in his life if we’re going to have a future together. I can’t fall back into my old patterns of manipulation, though, because that wouldn’t be love, would it?
Maybe I’m being foolish. Maybe we need more than just love to make this work. Maybe another child, or two. Or marriage. If I could get him to promise me forever, to commit to this new chapter with me, it might finally give me peace. I want him to be as sure of me as I am of him.
Vixen, how do I make this last? How do I secure his love for good?

Dear Vixen,
I can’t help but watch you sometimes, wonder if you’ve ever realised just how much closer I am to you than you think. Do you feel it? That pull between us, undeniable and burning. The way your eyes light up when you speak, the fire in your soul that’s impossible to ignore. The fiercer you become, the harder it gets for me to stay away. I know what you look like, what you feel like under my hands, and still, I can’t resist you.
It’s only a matter of time before we give in, Vixen. I know it, you know it. I don’t care what we must lose; we are inevitable.
You’re mine.

Hi Vixen,
I’m not sure how to begin this. I know you, and I know what this might do to you, but I have to say it. I’ll keep your secret, always. You don’t even have to speak to me again if you don’t want to. But I need you to hear this, before it gets out in the open. We’ve crossed paths before, more times than we both care to admit, and I’ve always had your back. You’ve been like a sister to me, Vixen, and I love you. Always have and always will.
But there’s something you need to know, something I’ve kept from you for a long time.
I like the same men you do. I’ve always been there, in the background, when you and he were struggling. When you pushed him away, I was there for him. I listened, I was a comfort. We talked, we shared, nothing physical, just comfort and understanding. And then, one night, it happened. A kiss. It was a mistake, born of too much champagne and whiskey. But I swore it wouldn’t happen again.
But we grew closer. He’d spend his days with me and nights with you. It wasn’t much, just conversation and company. He needed someone to believe in him, someone to hold on to when you weren’t there. And then, after you… after you broke up with him, things changed. One kiss became two, and then more. I didn’t want it to happen. I never meant to hurt you.
I just want you to understand. I never wanted this. I never wanted to betray you.
Your best friend,
Diana

Pulled me right in, such a clever way to tell an old story. It's often the best friend.
I did find the font very small, though. Maybe you might consider a bigger font next time ?
