Lynn went over to Mildred's house.
Ko-Ko and five other women were in the process of discovering the contents of Mildred's broken dreams. Those fantasies were wrapped in boxes.
Unopened.
Lynn joined in the service. The women would open a box; look for the invoice inside the box; remove the object from the box; guestimate a fair price for the contents of the box; organize the contents on varous tables located within and throughout the barn; put the empty boxes in a big pile outside the barn and stash the contents of some of the boxes in a secret room in the main house.
The stashed items would be part of a closed sale that would occur the day before the other items went on sale.
If you stashed the item, you had first dibs on that item when the special pre-sale began. If you stashed it and could meet the price on the item, the item would be yours.
You knew that the price was fair. You were the one who had determined the price in the first place.
How reasonable can you get?
Not all of the items for sale were from QVC.
Not all of the boxes had never been opened.
I learned all of this from Lynn when she came home from her first day at Mildred's barn.Lynn said it reminded her a lot of Christmas.
She also said that after one full day of opening, pricing and organizing, it had become obvious that they would need at least three more full days before they could finish. After three days, they would be ready to set a date for the sale.
And they would need a couple more people.
Lynn wanted to know if I wanted to help out.
I said "I gotta see this".
Lynn asked Ko-Ko if I could join the team.
Ko-Ko said that Mildred needed all the help that she could get.

About the photos you're using Ice: do they have a creative commons licence, should you be putting some kind of link to where you found them, or are they your own work?
