Charnel House

Drift of green,
a taste of shadow
guiding past these limbs,
those dancers,
a settled scene
an ageing peace,
phosphorescent heaven
and such weak knees;
makes it easy on the level,
gives you highs and lows,
a pleasant dance
when we're all at home.
