those lovely dolphins who pierce the very fabric
the OCEAN
is a field, so marvelously made
a desert liquified,
lovely:
only the angels know what it means to swim in the
AIR:
the truly darling fish with all the flowing
colours of the rainbow,
hide in technicolour homes, turning
and turning, watching out
for mighty fish with fierce
teeth,
as cruel as praying mantises:
i
suppose fish, little ones
always are moving in schools as to
distribute the eggs and motions more
evenly,
aiming
for an equilibrium against the fierce
belly-ful movement of
the whales or sharks which might throw
a truly lonely fish out
on a curve, whiplashed? whipped
but what of the
quaint heros of our fellow time,
the starfish who elevates her
belly to catch a nice full meal
or the
fish who light
up like stars, as cold and dead as fallen angels
to light our
passions out on lonely islands,
again competing for
FISH?
YUCK YUCK YUCK.
People are
selfish bastards, so flush the fish and
set them free.
