For My Valentine

I hear your voice -
and turn my head to see if you are there
But all I see
is empty space, now matter how I stare.
I see your face
and call your name to try and make you stay
Then all I see
is someone else and so I move away
I feel your touch
it sends a thrill through every nerve and bone
I always see
You here with me
When I am alone

This was written to express how I felt about being separated from the
people I loved. There wasn't really anyone specific in mind at the time
I wrote it - it just summed up feelings of loneliness I was
experiencing. It could be about a friend or a relative as equally as
it's about a lover, but I guess we all imagine the ones we love when we
are away from them and start hearing their voices and seeing their
faces everywhere.
