The history of wine

Rosé is not a fashionable wine that
recently has been conceived by smart guys.

Actually, you would expect this now we
have conquered this boundless terrace.
Now we have discovered this early summer
world in which we blow so easily
the wise words from our brittle lips.
We are the creatures that love pastiche.

How long has it been since we walked
along the cold waves of the North Sea?
We imitated the cries of the seagulls,
we drank the salt air like it was hot coffee.

Then we discovered that whale.
Death as a Christian dogma. But the beak
was opened and a man walked out.
So, you have to start thinking about
logic and meaning. At night, you lie
awake like a retired skipper with hernia.

Ever since, we have learned how to
write down the questions on the blackboard
with the dexterity of a knitted teacher.
And draw doodles around them.

However, the sadness is still pressing
in the palms of our hands like a rusty nail.
But once our love flies like a blackbird
from my eyebrows to your fledgling eyes,
we realize why we are on this terrace
ordering in such a subtle way glasses of rosé.
