Work Diary, 7/25/02
Colorado is in the midst of a heat wave. Our weather is not helped by
the drought, which has the Water Board up in arms over how often
homeowners can use 300 gallons per day to water their unnatural lawns.
No sympathy on my end.
But what really freaks me out is that most people do not have air
conditioning in their homes, as usually there's no need. So, scores of
people have purchased window AC units, which typically cool just one
room. And, really, it's strange to think that across the state, people
are sitting on chairs, perhaps pulled from the dining room, the cool
air blowing around them while they stare into space, all alone.
