Deep in the ground her lived
On an island...in a lake
Deep...deep down he lived
Lived on fish...lived on orcs
But he was happy...he was content
For his precious, his birthday present
Was with him...for him alone
But he was betrayed
By the one thing dear to him
He was betrayed by his precious
It left him in the dark
A riddle player came
Asking what was in his pocket
And when the player fled
He knew what it was
His precious...his birthday present
He left his lake...his safe dark home
To be chased by the big light
To chase after what he had lost
He left his lake...nothing could keep him
He had to find his precious
His birthday present
And so began his long long journey
Beaten by the terrible sunlight
He sneaked through the lands
He was seen...and he was found out
But no one killed him and no one hurt him
Because a wise one had said
In the end...he may have a fate yet
And so he carried on and found the bearer
Of his precious...his birthday present
He joined the bearer
And his faithful servant
On a journey to the unkown
Well known to him
He stayed close to his precious
And he dreamed of the moment
That he would have it back again
His precious...his birthday present
The journey's end came
On Mount Doom he saw his chance
When the bearer became invisible
It was not for his eyes
So he jumped...and he attacked
And in the fierce fight he took
The bearer's finger and he bit
Freeing his precious...his birthday present
And as he danced of joy...he fell
Down into the fire of Doom
And thus he died...freeing the world
Of terrible evil
He had a fate yet...indeed he had
