There Came a Day
There came a day that greeted the spring
Planted it Carefully
Watered it
Warmed it.
Now what shall I do with the flowers?
The day said; the day said.
Let them flower their delicate wings
So the bluetit can admire them as he sings
And what shall I do for the trees?
The day said, the day said.
Let their rusty branches turn ruby red
Then grow some leaves so the bugs can be fed.
Now how shall I help the birds
The day said, the day said.
Let them twitter when building their nests
So after they may have their well deserved rest.
What shall I do for the sun?
The day said, the day said.
Shine down on earth its mystical rays
So bright that no human eye can gaze
How shall I please the people ?
The day said, the day said.
Give them snowdrops so white and pure
And tulips so then they will like you for sure
There came this day and she was spring
Her face was white
And covered in pearls
Her wings were rainbow flowers
