THE WORLD SEEN THROUGH BROKEN GLASS

By jfunt

The world sits heavy,
on hearts of broken glass,
where tears break in waves
of lost and lonely time.

We consume the pain and sorrow
through inward looking mirrors
at banquette feasts.

Meanwhile, winter sleeps
with a worn and tattered smile,
and life drags wearily on.
