MYSTIC SOURCE

I know what i write
to be a part of the coming of my vision.
The clouds disperse
an absence of fertility.
A gravel pit in which the husks of men`s souls
are drawn up and quartered
and poured like liquids
into the bowels of the Earth.
I know what I write to be
beyond the fear of reproach.
It has a mystic source
and it speaks of salt wounded pride,
and of spanners in the machinery of life.
