Poignant Scrabble

To what end do we surge behind corporal disguise
To seek further terrain, corrupt space, moon, and skies?
Ascending societies utter and crave
To burden our sofas, the lesser enslave?
Are we out to succeed in money and love?
Elect the divine, then prove he's above?
Continue this sequence not knowing the aim
Is there ominous point to this querying game?
Poignant scrabble is digging at me
There's much more to subsist than we think know or see
Like the boot, dog, and hat, are we formed to amuse?
Is difinitive purpose designed to confuse?
Placed on this planet, like pawns in pursuit
Kin to termite and ant we change setting to suit
Governed by want we exasperate seize
Dropping this sphere from its nature to knees
Imposing, disposing, reserves by neglect
Distraction, reaction, escaping effect
In the end, who's the winner, the one with the most?
Are we playing for keeps, or just razing the host?
