THE OWL
"Who, who," the brown owl hoots, "Oh, who,"
"Who flew on through the dusk's deep blue?
Who flew on through night's ghostly gloom,
Beneath the beautiful, white moon
Whose hue illuminates the view?"
"Who flew," the owl hoots, "on soft wings,
Who flew so smoothly to the tree?
Whose huge eyes view the smallest things?
Who swoops, who swoops so silently?
Who moves like dreams through night's dark view?
Do you know who? Do you know who?"
