There is a place in Newcastle where people go to pray,
It's been there for nine hundred years and it's still there today.
Many men are buried there, they are the saints of old
And carved beside their names in stone are deeds they did, so bold.
Many fought great battles and made the sacrifice
For the safety of their country of laying down their lives.
Some of them preached Jesus and travelled land and sea
To tell all people everywhere that Christ could set them free.
Nine hundred years later on Lord Jesus Christ still lives,
The courage of those men of old is something he still gives.
