Fixated on fiction, my favoured writing choice,

eclectically selecting when searching for my voice.

Stealing ideas, phrases and  expressions, 

Shifting stylistically in discursive talking sessions.

Spectacular vernacular, dialect intact, 

Slurring and blurring, of fiction and fact.

Genres and tropes, the meta the better, 

horror/sci-fi/world building , studied to the letter.

Cyberpunk, and hyper drunk 

on words like Dylan Thomas, 

I often wonder if what I've learned.

will yet fulfil its promise.
