More Than Us

"The More Than Us"
To sing this song of faith in the key of this time creates eternal
dissonance.
To deny the truth of the corporate body,
To live the illusion of the `one set apart`,
Will not bridge this paradigm.
I'm only talking to God,
It's lonely talking to God.
This desperate need to share the experience,
Is this for your salvation?
Or my heart salve?
And yet I constantly hear the music of the spirit.
"Can you hear it?"
The beauty, the majesty, the more than us.
The more than us.
I love with a passion the truth of my constant error.
In summation, in judgement.
I adore the holiness of the absolute,
I feel its truth.
Your eyes play concerned.
Incomprehension of the unfelt, unseen.
But to deny that for 27 years I lived also that truth,
Would be the tallest lie.
I am like you.
That is our only hope for community.
He is my only hope for eternity.
