Ear-Ring.

My cousin, came to visit my Mum recently, she then sent us a picture and a text on our group chat, “Please can you have a look in Aunties flat, for this ear-ring, as I have lost it, it might be there.” I had a look, but sadly it was not there. I told my cousin Iona, “I have looked, but can’t see it,” Iona replied, “Never mind, I often loose my ear-rings.” I thought, what a shame, as they were beautiful silver ones.
A few months ago, I bought a tiny silver cross and chain pendant. It was a very fine chain, and I had to give my- self plenty of time, to be able to put it on; as it was fig-a-ley (it is one word, but I don’t know how to spell it) it seems like it is a slang word, from when I was young. After a few weeks, I lost it, I think in the house, as Meghan wanted me to move all my items off the table where I keep all my important things, so that she could use the table for Darius’ birthday celebrations! When it was time to put my things back onto my table, I had lost by left-handed scissors and tiny silver cross and pendant! I think, I remember putting it away somewhere safe, but in the past, I have done that a few times, I remember the kids were naughty and I hid their Wii controls, and forgot where I put them, and had to buy fake wii controls so the kids could carry on playing!
I gave up looking for it, and decided, when I looked on line, where else, I could buy in store, another silver cross, but a bit bigger than the tiny one, that could hardly be seen. The first one I had bought was £20 minus the penny, the other one that I saw and bought, was £15 minus the penny. I love it, but although the chin was a fraction thicker, it was still fig-a-ley to put on! It was very frustrating! I told Paul, and he said, “Why not keep it on?” I said, “No it will get damaged, broken or lost.” I was at a loss of what to do.
I decided to look on line, for tips of how to put it on, in an easy way. I looked on videos, and one showed, to do the trial run at the front and then while still holding it in the same way, put it on at the back, but that is what I had been doing. The other video said, put it on from the front, so I went to the mirror and tried to do that, but I still couldn’t get it past the tiny opening, to make sure it went inside the circle. The third option was to go to a jewellery shop and ask them to, make both ends magnetic. I would not do that, as that service would cost more that the chain is worth. I persevered, and put my cross and chain on, to leave Mums last night. I had not worn it all day. I left her home, and then walked the 100 yards to my car and put my seat belt on, not sure why I looked down, but there it was, both the chain and the cross on my lap! I was SO glad I had not dropped it from Mums home to my car, in the dark, I would never have found it!
I had decided in the new year, to buy a cross and chain that didn’t need to be on a chain, but so that it was long enough to simply put it over my head! Where I live, there is the perfect hippy shop, well two very different hippy shops one sells all new things, the other sells only vintage things, I had forgotten about that one, I might go to that one first, that one is out of Town, and I only pass it in the car, so over the next few days I will go to the vintage store, it is jam packed it with goodies, customers drive for miles to go to that shop. I will 100% find what I am looking for in there, the lady that runs it she is fantastic and knowledgeable, and nothing in there is expensive.
Roll on the next few days, I will go either Tuesday morning or Wednesday.
Sorted. xXx
