Selfless.

When I met my Husband Paul, one of the many things I loved about him, was that he was and is selfless.

Paul is a huge animal person. When I met him, he had, rats, dogs, 4 snakes, scorpions, monitor lizard, fifty tarantulas, and many, many more. All the animals were given away to good homes or pet shops, before we got married.

We started again with cats and dogs. He would have made a perfect Vet, his knowledge of animals, flowers and plants and Art is amazing.

There were two things that stood out to me, when I got to know him, I thought he would love fishing, I was wrong. He loves dogs, maybe a tad more than humans! I think dogs just have the edge over us; I could be wrong. I remember saying to him, “If ever one of our dogs got into trouble, in the water, please think of us, before the dog – please.” He said, “I Will.” Thankfully we have never been in that position.

It was very sad to hear a few days ago, a man saw a mother and daughter in the rough icy waters and dived in to rescue them. All three drowned, the Mum age 45 and her daughter age 15.

The brave Man his name, Mark Ratcliffe, age just 67.

RIP to all three. x
