Shirt.
No one would know the answer.
Tonight was watching the fab Tipping Point this evening with my daughter Meghan and a question came up.
The question was, which of these items of clothing was also the title of a 2022 UK Top 20 single for the American singer, SZA?
The man, around my age, had not heard of the singer, and neither had I. The man said, “I don’t know if the singer is male or female,” Then he decided to choose male, he then said, “I choose male, and as I don’t know the answer, I choose as my answer Shirt”. Meghan said, “That is the right answer”. Tipping Point put the answer as wrong, and put the correct answer as, Coat. That was the wrong answer! Now Paul and I would not know that, as we have never heard the song, nor have we heard of the Artist.
Meghan said, “I have seen her live,” And she showed me the video of her singing the song Shirt.
The man then went on to answer only one question, right. But if Tipping Point had given him the first question as right, he could have gone on to win the £10,000 or win more money, they denied him that.
Now this was first aired October two years ago. Meghan then looked on the internet to see if others had watched it, and seen the mistake, but there was nothing. The only thing that mentioned the mistake was others tonight who watched it too and put it on social media, that the answer was wrong.
Meghan felt bad for the man, that he missed out on more money or winning the big prize, she immediately, email the ombudsman, and made a complaint on behalf of the man. She told them, the original date it was shown and the date today, and that she would like him to be compensated for missing out.
The complaint took a few minutes for her to write, it would be lovely, that as she has brought it to their attention, that the man may benefit, from her complaint.
I hope so. x
