 Battling On

Battling on , helping each other out is what it’s about.

There’s no point starting to get angry and beginning to shout  .

When hardships come along and things go wrong , it can make you strong 

When you can’t change the way it is you learn how to battle on    .

I’m battling on, that’s how it is living on struggle street ,

you give more than you get and take less form the people you meet .

and there is no one knocks on the door to see if you’re ok

there is no one brings a smile or a  hello during the  day.

I’m battling on through thick and thin and all kinds of weather

and If it doesn’t kill you it can make you even better .

Nobody steals on struggle street and everyone does their best

No one moans and no one groans, it puts your metal to the test .

I’m a battler and I’ve been taught to just get on it .

I get out there and try get along and won’t ever quit

Battling on , doing my best with things I’ve never wanted 

Its makes me realise not to take anything for granted 

its too late to grind the axe when the drum it beat’s for battle

it’s too late to fix the table when you’ve drunk all the bottle  .

You have to do the impossible when it needs to be done.

So you would appreciate the good times whenever  they come.
