Buried In A Mineshaft

I’m standing in a
forest without any trees

and I feel like an
abandoned mine shaft .

I have to a laugh as
I think to myself ,

where have all the
flowers gone ?

Where are all those
who once were here with me ?

They are in a
place I cannot be

where time disappeared
into the bottom of a mine shaft .

and I have to carry on .

All my thoughts
travel through empty carriages

along the tracks in my mind

where I find those golden moments

once again

in a mine shaft where the sun never shone .
