How well do you know me

there’s something I need to show you

for I’ve been Here for a while

I’m just the guy with the stupid smile ,

 like a Cheshire cat on the welcome mat

who’s been watching you and the Things you do

and I want to know where its at

because what I feel is real

and all I know is I love you so,

 I hang up my hat ,

because here ’s where its at .

Next to you there’s nothing better than that .

I’ve been where no one has been

and seen what no one has seen ,

out of the way everyday

I lick my paws and its all because

 I’ve have scratched the dirt

and got hurt looking for something that’s not there ,

 like a fantasy of someone with you

and not the reality of what is true .

Put it under you hat ,

I know that’s not where its at

our love is true , 

there’s nothing surer than that .

I’m not one of those comfortably off I suppose

with a fancy lavish lifestyle

I am just a guy who thinks of you all the day through

and if not for you from time to time

I’d find no one to  push up next to

and say I love you yet I  know its ok

with my cheesy smile ,

you make everything worthwhile .

Just like a Cheshire cat
