A Day

Each day comes and each day goes
and all we touch are the twenty four hours
as we lay between the shadows of tears and laughter
till tomorrow comes , we'll call it a day .

I look at each day in a different way
with these washed up feelings that come my way .
Tearless eyes on wrinkled skin tell sad stories of yesterday.
Let's call it a day.

As each day comes and goes there's a special time in the day
when we can turn and say I think life's ok.
Time to quit now and say goodnight
It's time to call it a day
