A Day Like Today

Some days they slip away so fast ,

like some people from the past

 that I used to know, now we’ve lost touch and we can’t say hello.

So where are they now , well I just don’t know .

Other days they can go on too long

like a broken record of an old sad song

stretching out the lyrics until they fade

away with the melody that has gone .

On a day like today life is beautiful ,

The grass is green and the sun is bright

On a day .like today life is wonderful

and everything is just all right .

These days are so busy with so much to do and

There’s no time to have fun or play ,

Don’t ask me why for I haven’t got a clue

but tomorrow is another day .

Future days are still to come with yesterday’s farewell

and as tears will surely fall so will the laughter come

and there will be time for fun and good times for one and all .

The best of days are whenever I’m happy with you

and on a day like today the world seems new

and I know its love that makes me

see everything in a new way .

   Crazy days try to break us in two

and lazy days have daydreams that could come true .

For 24 hours time ticks away .

Tomorrows another day for me and you .
