The Enchanted Child

Across the bridge an enchantment glows

All around the pearly gates

To capture the child who came to dance

where eternity awaits .

 Underneath the rainbow where music flows ,

 she found the wings to fly  

and all around the universe

she painted sunsets in the sky  ,

In her heart is the  love of God

In her soul the eternal light

In her eyes the mystery of life

‘and her mind gifted with insight .

 In a corridor where time goes by

she slept for a little while

and she dreamt of a once upon a time

before she was a child .

In a dream she saw the raindrops fall

 in colours upon the ground

where flowers danced to an ancient wind

that whistled a gentle sound .     

On the four winds she heard stories

too many for her to retell ,

When she opened her eyes ,

the enchanted child had to say farewell .
