Chapter 11
In The Garden Where The Fairies Dwell
There’s a place I know where we can go and stay just as long as you’re there
and if you are one for romance then you just might fall in a trance and dance until dawn with the fairies on the lawn as the dewdrops fall . Some would say sure it makes no sense at all , but who are they to judge the wonder and the magic that they’ve never seen for those who have gone where the fairies
dwell So if you’re passing this way in the days to come when the dewdrops are waiting delicately poised to fall just as the night is drawing to a close and in that dazzling light of a new day , look for me there before the magic has gone to a place where nobody knows .
Well the first dance belongs to us and we can be the debutantes at the ball in the garden where the fairies dwell and home of those who have come from the valley and dell , the meadow and lane , to dance at the dawn of the day . .
It’s a long way from the roads where the gypsies are tipsy on their toes , it closer to the place where nothing matters and you can cast your fears to the wind and unwind where the magic flows .
That’s where you will find strange looking plants that no one has seen in the garden where birds brought seeds from some distant place that accidently dropped out of their beaks and scattered themselves all over the enchanted garden there in the p[lace where the fairies dwell.
So if you’re at one with the world and at peace with yourself them you can see a few of the fairies working in the garden there and don’t let anyone try to tell you that your mind has gone and you’re seeing things or you’re walking in your sleep . Oh no for its them that are asleep and not yourself in the early dawn on the lawn where little fairies with their little spades are planting flowers and fairy trees and digging holes around the garden where the fairies dwell .
Don’t let them try to tell you that they’re just statues of fairies with wings or they are just garden gnomes with their little black boots and green coats .
Let them run away on with their plastic ornaments of birds and frogs or mushrooms and logs ,
They are the ones who don’t have strange looking plants in their gardens , Just wish them a happy day and sent them on their way . Those neighbours of yours who can’t tell the difference between night and day because they still think that fairy statues are not real . They have never been to the dance at the dawn of the day with the fairies who came as the dewdrops fell .
In the garden where the fairies dwell no one can tell you what to do and what is real or a dream . How strange it is, that in that very special garden where the fairies dwell no one wants to see them but me and you .
I will be waiting for you without a breath and as you approach before the world before left us there I will rejoice in knowing that your graceful presence shall be with me as we dance like butterflies without wings and we shall keep dancing until the music is gone and time carried on in the new dawn of the day . Our dance is just a hello and not a goodbye because we cannot let go of the beauty we found in the place where the fairies dwell .
