The Getaway

Beyond the concrete street blue sky is hovering ,

getaway somewhere there, where no one’s bothering

you and I can disappear for a little while

paining pictures with our hearts and wearing a smile.

Smell the roses , hear the bees , feel the difference there

in a getaway place, beyond the blue somewhere .

There’s a whispering breeze and the trees seem to say

Summers here already what a beautiful day .

Take it easy there’s no work today , it’s ok ,

relax and recover you’re on a getaway.

We all need to getaway , somewhere to unwind

and escape from the demands of the daily grind .

Reconnect with who we are in a peaceful place

where the sun shines around us in that open space .

Rest up with no stress and bless the day that has come

There is a getaway place for everyone .

Life is more than work , we all need a holiday.

in a place to recover called the getaway .
