On The Island
By Paul McCann
 .
Just waiting for the sunset
on an island near Coron
heaven will have its way and
soon the day will soon be gone.
The sea lies still before me
it’s as gentle as the breeze ,
that cannot stir a leaf
upon the frangipani trees .
Sea shells lie scattered
like left over dinners on the rocks ,
upon the sands of time
before they  needed any clocks .
We sit before tomorrow comes a million miles away ,
waiting for the sunset
at the end of another day .
