I wake up and it’s a new day 

the dark night has gone away ,

and the birds are singing to the sky .

The song of life begins to play 

music is life and life’s okay 

there’s  freedom in the breeze  that’s passing by .

.

Yes come on get up ,

it’s  a new day and it’s time now for you and I .

.

There time to live and time to love 

feel the warmth of the sun above 

see the light that’s right there  before our eyes .

.

Yes , come in get up , it’s  a new day 

and it’s time now for you and I .

.

Be happy , be free , 

be what you want to be .

.

We walk and talk between the lines 

we’ve survived all  the hard times ,  and we’ve found the freedom that gives us  the courage to rise .
