Judgement Day Call
by Paul McCann
She was the soul of emotion
in a world that just begun and she
was the silver of the stars
and the gold of the sun .
She was the colours
of the rainbow and the
sound of the wind
she was the hope for so many
before she gave in .
She brought a wave of commotion
to the oceans so still ,
the weather turned stormy
and the sea rose in anger,
until cracks appeared
in a new horizon
when time had stood still
in a future where the world was
a black hole , nothing could fill .
last goodbyes filled the empty sky
and chilled the hearts that once loved ,
then the oceans ran ran
and the sun stopped shinning
up above .
A darkness fell down
over the earth ,
that never went away ,
and the children stopped laughing,
there were no more games to play .
it was the end of all we know ,
there was nothing left to say .
It was the final call
now to get in line for judgment day.
She was the smile of forgivness
that broke the cold heart of stone,
she opened the wings of love
and flew to her heavenly home.
