 The Lady In White

I saw something there
in the corner of my room ,
by the light of the moon
that made my heart go boom .

A lady dressed in white
in the darkness of night ,
stood looking at me ,
giving me an awful fright .

Why was she there ,
what did she want ,
I’ll never know ,
she just stood before me there
in her ghostly glow .
