The Love Of A Father

I’ve got a song to sing in my heart for you ,

in my life you were the Father that I knew

Dad you meant more to me than I ever said ,

as long as I live you will never be dead.

Your blood runs in my veins , straight into my heart ,

in my life you were there from the very start .

Long live the love for the Father that I knew ,

Long live his legacy with faith strong and true ,

There’s a lot of him in me , that’s how I know

the love of my Father everywhere I go

In my opinion my Father was just great

All that he did for me I appreciate .

All he ever loved was just his family.

All he wanted was for us to be happy.

All he hoped was to retire and have some fun       

All he ever had was hard work to be done .

And so it will be forever, as you see ,

the love of a Fathers for someone like me

And so it will be forever there with me ,

the love of a Father for his family.
